Motivation Behind Lexi’s Weight Loss
In an interview recorded by People in 2018, Lexi stated that “We were challenged by a buddy to go without dining out, cheat meals, soda, or alcohol for 30 days.” She began cooking, food preparation, calorie counting, and reading nutrition labels herself.
Lexi is Still Facing Problems
Losing weight, on the other hand, did not seem to be a wise move. Not least because of the manner in which she shed pounds. Reed had dropped weight through gastric bypass surgery, which had initially had positive results. Nevertheless, further changes in her health resulted in a total disaster.
Lexi had renal failure shortly after her operation. Since her kidney failure in January, Reed, 31, has been battling some serious side effects. Reed has had ups and downs since then, from finishing dialysis treatments to stomach and leg discomfort, and she has been attending the hospital on a regular basis.
She has calcium buildup around her joints, which is a common side effect of renal failure. Reed revealed on Instagram that she was having difficulty walking on her legs, which was becoming worse by the day.
“Unfortunately, we’re back to square one,” she admitted. “I’m going to get some answers.” Basically, I’ve been experiencing severe stomach knots that have been getting worse. My legs are extremely heavy and in excruciating pain. “And I’ve had a fever of above 101 degrees Fahrenheit since Thursday, which we’ve been attempting to control with acetaminophen (Tylenol).” She continued.
Reed shared the news with her Instagram fans via her story. Lexi captioned a snapshot of her hospital’s ER door, “Not how I intended to spend my Monday.” “I’ve been in discomfort with my legs and stomach for the past two weeks and it’s not getting any better, so here we are.”
Reed’s Husband Explains the Issue
Lexi Reed’s husband, Danny Reed, shared a photo of his wife hooked up to a ventilator in a hospital bed on her Instagram account. “A few weeks ago, Lexi started becoming sick and couldn’t keep any food down,” he warned.
He claims she then began acting strangely, prompting him to take her to the hospital, where she was brought to the intensive care unit and placed on a medically induced ventilator as her organs began to fail.
“They also informed me that if I had waited, she may have perished.” She is presently undergoing dialysis, is unable to walk, and is attempting to recover. ” In the caption, Danny states
Lexi Kept her followers Informed Even From Hospital
Lexi shared a snapshot on Instagram, explaining that she had dialysis three times a week to remove extra fluids from her body that were causing her organs to fail. She stated that she had dialysis every day at 6 a.m.
She described how the procedure works and how long each dialysis lasts. “They link me up to a machine and remove waste and extra fluids because my kidneys aren’t working,” Reed explained.
“I may not be focused on weight reduction as much here (I’m eating healthily in bed and looking for more protein), but I am working to heal, and I wanted to share some of my new journey with you guys.” She continued.
When Hospital discharged Lexi Reed
She also announced her release on Instagram on March 20, 2022, and she also stated that she had gone through good and difficult moments, but she was always grateful for the people’s support.
“With my health, problems, and even some unresolved concerns, I still have a long way to go in this new chapter of my trip, but I’m delighted to be on the right track after such a scare this year.” She continued.
Critics of Lexi Reed’s Fund
Reed put up a GoFundMe page to urge her 1.2 million fans for support. Some detractors, however, claimed that she could afford health insurance.
Reed flatly rejected it, claiming that people assume she’s wealthy just because the internet says so, but she claims they’re far from it.
Reed is said to have a net worth of $1.5 million, according to a website. “People on the internet are reading that I have a lot of money,” Lexi explained, “which is absurd to me since I obviously don’t.”
“Our house isn’t even paid off, and we only have one vehicle,” Lexi said, “so I’m not sure why people are so willing to believe anything these days.”
Lexi Reed Undergo Surgery
Lexi was featured in two images by the weight loss influencer, one before her skin removal operation and the other after two months.
“Covered with scars in both pics, but both beautiful wounds from one hell of a battle,” Lexi said on Instagram. Every step has been worth the battle to give this body the attention it requires, from dropping 312 pounds to having 7 lbs of skin removed in a 9-hour operation. “
Lexi contrasted her images, claiming that both girls are strong and that she has loved herself at every point of her journey, particularly the girl who started it all and encouraged her from inside to reach her objective.
Before and After Weight Loss
Lexi weighed about 485 pounds before surgery, but she lost 312 pounds thereafter. Lexi currently weighs around 173 pounds. Her physique has undergone such a drastic transformation.
